Fotooppgaver

Monoprint

Image
Monoprint is described as " a single print taken from a design created in oil paint or printing ink on glass or metal." and it is what we tried out in the start of "greenman" using both paper and plants and then pain on glass. In the project "greenman" we were given multiple tasks that all had the same theme "greenman" or mainly just nature and plants. I glued dry grass and leaves on paper and then painted on top of that, put a paper on top of it and pressed it and this is how it turned out, not exactly how I planned because of all the thick paint spread. It's supposed to be a man, or rather an elf, leaf elf maybe. But you can barely see his nose and ear because of the paint that spread after it was under press. I tried something similar but with paint only on glass, I painted a simple scene of a mountain and a forest but because of how smudged the painting always looked after pressing it I gave up after 5 attempt...

Photo & Graphics

Image
It's been months since I last posted anything on this blog, but here I am. This project was a bit different from previous works we've done. It was more or less just a bunch of testing different techniques. The first thing we worked on was a portrait of Photo & Graphics. So I took a few pictures and edited them together to represent what we do in Photo & Graphics. So this was the first thing we did, made a portrait of this class. The person in the photo is one of my classmates, I got her permission to use her in my portrait. I actually didn't use photoshop for that, I used Firealpaca and I used clipping over a picture of a photo camera, and then blended together the photos I had taken. I did the same with the writing. I personally think it turned out pretty great. I'll post more soon, juuust after I've uploaded a few pictures to my pc.

Mockups

Couldn't find the edited pictures from the previous task that we got so I just used two of my drawings just to test mockups

Another day, another task. Alright so in this project we had to base our work on climate change and take inspiration from Greta Thunberg, a known  climate activist. First of all, who is Greta Thunberg? To quote wikipedia (yes I know, one's teacher would tell you to not use this website, but guess what, it has a lot of information that is easy to understand and it's easy to navigate.) " Greta Thunberg   (born 3 January 2003) is a school girl in Sweden who, at age 15, began protesting about the need for immediate action to combat   climate change   outside the Swedish parliament and has since become an outspoken   climate activist .   She is known for having initiated the   school strike for climate  movement that formed in November 2018 and surged globally after the   United Nations Climate Change Conference    in December the same year. Her personal activism began in August 2018, when her recurring and solitar...

Clipping Mask

Image
In this rather small project we've been playing around with photoshop again, this time we've been using different filters/Effects and most importantly, clipping mask.  How to create a clipping mask will differ from what sort of pc/laptop you're using, if you're using mac then you have to hold down option (on pc it's alt), position the pointer over the line dividing the two layers (The object should be below, while the upper layer should be a picture, say a landscape picture.) in the layers panel (the pointer will change into two overlapping circles), then click. (Although I could be wrong! I don't have a mac.) There's always tons of youtube videos out there that could explain this better. I did these two as examples of what these clipping mask pieces could look like: (You can also add a background behind both of the first layers, like a solid colour that compliments the object's colour(s).)
